Export Adobe Illustrator Paths to Houdini
Abstract
This Adobe Illustrator CS2 script exports a path to the Houdini *.geo file.
This is now obsolete. Please use HoudiniEPSexporter instead!
Installation
To install the script in the Scripts menu, place it in the Scripts folder (Illustrator CS2 > Presets > Scripts).
Usage
Only the first selected path will be exported to the Houdini GEO format. Select a path and execute the script:
Browse to the directory you want the file be saved in and enter a filename.
In Houdini drop a fileSOP and load the exported file:
Known Issues
Currently only closed paths created with the Pen Tool (P) and the default shapes Rectangle tool (M), Polygon tool and Star tool are supported. Every other path will export but fail to import.
This might be fixed in future releases.
